Role Overview
Looking for an R&D professional to lead product innovation and development across confectionery and bakery categories. The role focuses on creating high-quality, scalable, and cost-effective products aligned with consumer preferences and market trends.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Development & Innovation
- Develop new products across sweets, chocolates, biscuits, cakes, and baked snacks
- Work on taste, texture, and shelf-life improvements
- Create festive and region-specific product offerings
2. Recipe Formulation & Sensory Evaluation
- Standardize recipes for consistency in taste, texture, and appearance
- Conduct tasting sessions and consumer trials
- Optimize ingredient combinations for product performance
3. Process Development
- Improve manufacturing processes (baking, frying, etc.)
- Enhance yield, consistency, and efficiency
4. Quality & Compliance
- Ensure product stability and shelf life
- Maintain compliance with food safety standards (FSSAI)
5. Market & Trend Focus
- Work on low-sugar and healthier product options
- Drive premium and gifting formats
- Blend traditional Indian flavors with modern formats
Qualifications & Experience
- B.Tech/M.Tech in Food Technology / Bakery / Dairy or related field
- 6–10 years of experience in R&D (bakery/confectionery preferred)
