About The Role

We're looking for a detail-obsessed, execution-focused Operations Manager to run the engine room of HUFT's quick commerce business across Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart and BigBasket. This role sits at the intersection of supply chain, platform operations, and data-driven decision-making — turning purchase orders into on-shelf availability, day after day.

The ideal candidate has cut their teeth on quick commerce or marketplace operations — they understand how POs, appointments, fill rate and TAT actually move, they obsess over metrics that change daily, and they have the discipline to keep a fast-scaling channel running like clockwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • PO Processing & Order Execution
  • Receive, validate and process purchase orders from quick commerce platforms accurately and within agreed timelines.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, 3PL and supply chain teams to convert POs into timely dispatches.
  • Track every PO through its full lifecycle and resolve discrepancies — quantity, pricing, SKU or barcode mismatches, and rate differences.
  • Keep the ERP/OMS and PO trackers updated so order status is always accurate and visible to every stakeholder.
  • TAT & Turnaround Performance
  • Own turnaround time end to end: PO receipt → picking and packing → dispatch → inwarding at platform DCs and dark stores.
  • Set and monitor TAT benchmarks by platform; review performance daily and drive continuous reduction.
  • Identify and remove bottlenecks across documentation, picking, packing and logistics before they hit delivery.
  • Appointments & Inbound Compliance
  • Schedule and manage inbound appointments at platform warehouses and dark stores.
  • Ensure on-time deliveries to minimise missed-appointment penalties, rejections and reschedules.
  • Coordinate closely with transporters and 3PL partners to guarantee adherence, and manage exceptions proactively.
  • Fill Rate & On-Shelf Availability
  • Drive and protect order fill rate and in-stock rate; minimise short supply, rejections and out-of-stocks.
  • Root-cause fill rate gaps — inventory shortfalls, dispatch delays, appointment misses, quality issues — and implement fixes.
  • Partner with supply chain on safety stock and replenishment to consistently hit fill rate targets across cities and SKUs.
  • Demand Forecasting & Planning
  • Build and maintain demand forecasts for the channel by platform, city and SKU.
  • Factor in promotions, seasonality, new launches and pet-category trends to sharpen accuracy.
  • Align forecasts with platform partners and internal supply planning; track and continuously improve forecast accuracy and bias.
  • Platform & Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as the primary operational point of contact for quick commerce Key Account Managers.
  • Coordinate with logistics, supply chain, finance and category teams to meet platform SLAs and minimise penalties.
  • Manage returns, claims and reconciliation, including debit notes and penalty disputes.
  • Stay ahead of platform policy changes, new fulfilment models and beta programs.
  • Analytics & Reporting
  • Own weekly and monthly business reviews — pulling data from platform portals and internal systems to surface actionable insights.
  • Build and maintain dashboards tracking PO accuracy, fill rate, TAT, appointment adherence and forecast accuracy.
  • Diagnose shifts in key metrics, connect anomalies to root causes, and drive corrective action.
  • Partner with BI and analytics teams to build scalable, automated reporting frameworks.

Must-Have Experience

What We're Looking For

  • 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in quick commerce, e-commerce or supply chain operations for a consumer brand or marketplace-first business.
  • A proven track record of owning core operations metrics — PO processing, fill rate, TAT and appointment adherence — actively improving them, not just reporting them.
  • Strong working knowledge of quick commerce platform operations (Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart,BigBasket) — POs, inbound appointments, fill rate and penalty structures.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP/OMS systems and advanced Excel/Google Sheets; comfortable building and running dashboards.
  • A data-first mindset — able to independently pull, interpret and act on operations data without waiting for a BI team.
  • Sharp coordination and stakeholder skills — keeping warehouse, 3PL, supply chain and platform teams aligned under tight timelines.

Good to Have

  • Experience in the pet care, FMCG, D2C or consumer lifestyle category.
  • Demand forecasting and inventory planning experience.
  • Exposure to BI tools such as Power BI or Looker, and to supply chain or analytics tooling.
  • Prior experience working directly with quick commerce KAMs and managing SLAs and penalties.
