Job Description

Manager – Quality Control reports to Senior Manager Quality Control by managing the collaborate with Internal and External collaborators.

The role holder provides support to Senior Manager Quality Control by leading all the Quality activities in the plant and 3P.

The role is responsible for maintaining the quality standards of premium automotive products being produced & filled at Patalganga plant & 3P site.

Manager – Quality Control is also encouraged to play a key role in handling cross-functional teamworks functions viz. Operations, technology, Procurement, Packaging Development, HSSE & Engineering etc!

What you will deliver

Driving collaboration with Operations to achieve Target FTPR Levels and supply to the Plants critical metrics of OEE and DPSA.

Improve the Safety at QC Laboratory through QOCs, SOCs and Toolbox talks and compliance to GRoS Process.

Responsible for Plant Quality Control and Assurance of Packaging materials.

Responsible for Analysis and retention of Complaint Samples for the cases referred from i-Care Portal.

Monitor and advise on the performance of the quality management system, produce data and report on performance, measuring against set standards to meet customer expectations and to ensure legal compliance.

Facilitate commercialization of new products and formulation changes in co-ordination with relevant collaborators ATP, Planning, Procurement and Packaging development team. Implementation of quality management system at Laboratory and Production Lines in line with ATP QA manual & GSC Q- StanUpkeep the quality management standards of Silvassa plant & optimally handle the ISO audits. Own the Plant level Root cause analysis of internal & external Quality incidents.

Ensure structured mechanism for Quality near miss /internal incident capturing & corrective action planning.

Leading the Contingent Team Members in Quality Control.

Ensuring product Shelf Life at CFAs and RM Expiry Management.

Handling Line Flush Oil and Waste Oil management. Guidelines sharing, continuous improvement and benchmarking with the best Industry practices.

What you would need

Should have a post graduate degree or equivalent experience in Chemistry or Graduate in Engineering.

Minimum 10 years post qualification experience in FMCG/ Lubricants Industry in similar position

Experience in ISO 9001/IATF 16949 and EMS systems.

Basic knowledge on statutory requirements like Hazardous Waste Mgt, Petroleum Rules & Contract Labour Acts.

This position requires team leadership skills and should be able to manage a team.

Experience in presenting and interfacing with all levels of the organization and external agencies/contacts including statutory bodies and Customers.

Demonstrate ability to lead multiple activities concurrently

Digital Focus - Authority knowledge of MS Project, MS Office specifically Excel, Power BI and Power apps.

Ability to use and take full advantage of appropriate tools. Knowledge of JDE would be an advantage.

Proficiency in English – knowledge of Hindi is critical, and Gujarati would be added advantage.

Facilitation skills in team meetings, incident investigations, risk assessments and project planning.
