Job Description

Role Summary

The Manufacturing Plant Quality Head is responsible for managing and overseeing all quality-related activities within the manufacturing plant. This role ensures that all products meet the required quality standards and specifications, and that quality processes are implemented and maintained effectively. The position involves working closely with suppliers, internal teams, and customers to ensure quality compliance and continuous improvement.

Roles And Responsibility

  • Define and maintain the site Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with Aliaxis global standards and ISO requirements.
  • Establish robust quality assurance processes covering incoming material, inprocess control, testing, release, storage, and dispatch.
  • Ensure all quality systems are auditready, standardized, and continuously improved.
  • Own the plant's Quality Risk Management framework, including PFMEAs, control plans, and quality alerts.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with regulatory, statutory, and customerspecific requirements.
  • Lead internal, external, regulatory, and IMS audits for the site, ensuring timely closure of NCs and systemic corrective actions.
  • Act as the site's primary interface with BIS and external inspection bodies, ensuring transparent communication and timely submissions.
  • Build a quality culture across the plant emphasizing prevention, ownership, and accountability.
  • Coach and mentor plant teams on structured problem solving (7QC tools, 6 Step RCA, 8D etc).
  • Develop quality talent and succession capability within the QA team.
  • Facilitate crossfunctional learning programs on quality standards, customer expectations, and system compliance.
  • Ensure rapid, transparent, and structured response to customer complaints, driving systematic and preventive solutions.
  • Conduct customer complaint trend analysis and drive closure of chronic issues through crossfunctional collaboration.
  • Maintain customer confidence by ensuring timely and highquality technical communication.
  • Establish and monitor site quality KPIs, including defect rates, material rejections, Cost of Claims and customer complaint trend.
  • Lead proactive quality improvement projects targeting defects, process capability, and product robustness.
  • Ensure routine maintenance of Q components and calibrations of measuring instruments.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement initiatives at the site.
  • Drive Kaizen / Poka Yoke for Defect Reduction
  • Promote datadriven decisionmaking.
  • Lead crossfunctional efforts to achieve Zero Defect Manufacturing and enhance customer satisfaction.

Requirement

  • 15+ Yrs of relevant experience in quality management.
  • BE in Plastics Engineering from CIPET or BE in Polymer Science from any University
  • Strong knowledge and experience in QMS implementation, ISO 9001, and regulatory requirements.
  • Expertise in system thinking, quality governance, and riskbased approaches.
  • Advanced skills in structured problem solving and statistical quality tools.
  • Demonstrated capability to lead transformation and cultural change.
  • Certifications preferred: Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, ASQ Certified Quality Engineer/Manager.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
