Job Purpose
To manage end-to-end procurement activities ensuring timely availability of materials, cost optimization, vendor compliance, and adherence to regulatory standards such as ISO 13485, GMP, and other applicable guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement Planning & Execution
- Manage sourcing and procurement of raw materials, components, consumables, and services.
- Ensure timely availability of materials as per production and project requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with planning and stores teams.
2. Vendor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and develop new vendors in compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain approved vendor list (AVL) as per ISO 13485 / GMP requirements.
- Conduct vendor audits and performance evaluations.
3. Cost Optimization & Negotiation
- Lead price negotiations and finalize contracts with suppliers.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality and compliance.
- Analyze market trends to ensure competitive procurement.
4. Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure procurement processes comply with ISO 13485, GMP, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation such as purchase orders, agreements, and vendor records.
- Support audits (internal/external/regulatory) and ensure closure of observations.
5. Cross-functional Coordination
- Collaborate with QA, Production, R&D, and Finance teams.
- Ensure alignment with quality and regulatory requirements for critical materials.
- Resolve supply-related issues proactively.
6. Risk Management
- Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure alternate vendor development for critical materials.

Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering / pharmacy / supply chain / business administration
- MBA (preferred)
- 10–15 years of experience in procurement within medical device or pharmaceutical industry
