JOB DESCRIPTION:

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Individual contributor that works under limited supervision.

Applies subject matter knowledge.

Requires capacity to understand specific needs or requirements to apply skills/knowledge.

Responsible for maximising the effectiveness of the organisation's supply chain.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

. Collect and analyse data systems, procedural activities and information flows and assess the efficiency and costs of logistics processes.

. Research operational costs, industry and regulatory issues and maintain a current and comprehensive database on which to draw for solutions development.

. Use statistical modeling skills to develop, and cost justify logistics solutions to meet agreed customer needs.

. Manage inventories and tactical planning, taking into account customer's future needs.

. Manage /coordinate inter-company shipments and troubleshooting.
