Job Description

Role: Manager - Production

Department: Content

Location: Mumbai

Years of experience: 6+

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the production team within the content development vertical at upGrad - including video editors, graphic designers, cameramen, and executive producers. Oversee performance, professional development, and resource allocation to foster a high-performing creative environment.
  • Design, implement, and manage the end-to-end production and post-production workflow, from asset ingestion to final delivery. Enforce SOPs to ensure efficiency, consistency, and quality.
  • Direct all production/post-production schedules and project timelines to ensure content is developed and delivered according to plan. Proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks in collaboration with the Content Program Managers..
  • Collaborate with Instructional Designers and Content Managers to ensure the final product meets all learning objectives. Champion creative innovation by researching and integrating new technologies and techniques to elevate production quality and learner engagement.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all production/post-production activities. Liaise effectively with internal teams (production, content, instructional design) and manage external vendors to ensure seamless project alignment and execution.
  • Provide expert technical guidance on all post-production tools and software. Oversee the management and maintenance of editing suites, software, and digital asset management systems.

Skills and Qualifications:

Required:

  • Proven experience in a senior post-production management or supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and manage a team of creative professionals.
  • Mastery of professional post-production software, including Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
  • Exceptional organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience within the e-learning or educational technology sector.
  • Familiarity with instructional design principles and their application in video content.
