Qualification : Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering /a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME)
Candidate should have knowledge and experience in thefollowing areas:
- CNC Machining Knowledge : Proficiency in CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machining is essential. This includes hands-on experience and the ability to solve machining-related problems.
- Machine Shop Management : Experience in managing a machine shop, specifically VMC (Vertical Machining Center) with 3-4 and 5-axis capabilities.
- NPD (New Product Development): Involvement in NPD processes, including cutting tool selection and NC (Numerical Control) programming.
- Aerospace Structural : Experience or familiarity with aerospace structural and engine parts is a desired qualification.
- Quality and Standards : Knowledge of quality management systems, including APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and standardization.
- Lean Manufacturing : Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing methods, which focus on minimizing waste and maximizing efficiency.
- Methods Engineering : In-depth understanding of methods engineering to improve processes and workflows.
- Production Planning: Experience in production planning, including PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) methodology.
- Batch Production Management: Knowledge of managing batch production processes.
- Quality Focus: Commitment to First Time Right (FTR) and First Pass Yield (FPY) principles, emphasizing quality in production.
- Inspection and Testing: Familiarity with inspection methods and part prove-outs to ensure product quality.
- Secondary Machining: Knowledge of secondary machining operations.
- Heat Treatment and Surface Treatment: Understanding of heat treatment and surface treatment processes.
- Grinding Operations: Knowledge of grinding operations.
- Assembly Techniques: Proficiency in assembly techniques.
- FAI (First Article Inspection): Experience in conducting first article inspections.
- Cycle Time Estimation: Ability to estimate production cycle times.
- Maintenance: Knowledge of machine maintenance and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) practices.
