Role: Manager - Procurement

Base location: Navi Mumbai, India

What you become a part of:

The Manager - Procurement is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring engineering-related materials, equipment, and services for Shalina. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, cost optimization, and timely delivery of critical assets for smooth operations

What to expect:

Procurement & Sourcing:

• Procurement of Capex Items Like - Utility: Boiler, screw chiller, Air Compressor, HVAC Systems etc.
• Manufacturing Machines: Like Tablet compression, Capsule Filling, Blister Packing, FBD, RMG etc .
• Lab Instruments Like: HPLC, Gas chromatography, Weighing Balances, Stability Chambers etc .
• Brown and Green Filed Projects procurements of various sites india and Africa .
• All Opex material procurements like , Machine spares and services , AMC /ARC , LAB Chemicals & Misc procurements .
• Procurements of stationery material .

Vendor & Supplier Management:

• Identify and onboard reliable suppliers for engineering procurement while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Conduct supplier audits and performance evaluations to ensure quality and service standards.
• Manage supplier contracts, renewals, and service-level agreements (SLAs).

Cost Optimization & Negotiation:

• Drive cost-saving initiatives through strategic sourcing, vendor negotiations, and alternative sourcing strategies.
• Optimize procurement budgets while maintaining quality and compliance.
• Analyze market trends and develop cost-effective procurement plans.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Engineering Graduate, Mechanical/ Electrical /MBA in material management
• Experience: 10-12 years in engineering procurement in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or manufacturing industry.

Knowledge of:

1. Pharma equipment procurement (reactors, HVAC, compressors, boilers, utilities, etc.).
2. Understanding of regulatory requirements related to engineering purchases.
3. SAP / ERP-based procurement systems.
4. Supplier contract management and negotiation skills.

Key Skills:

• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Knowledge of CAPEX & OPEX procurement in pharmaceuticals.
• Understanding of engineering maintenance requirements.
• Familiarity with global and local pharma regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
