MES provides services such as design, engineering, procurement, plant erection, commissioning, and power sector solutions, including transmission and distribution lines. The company also offers manpower services, equipment rentals, maintenance, and spares. Additionally, MES is involved in manufacturing HDPE pipes, cathodes, anode plates, lead ingots, electrical wires and cables, and operates recycling plants for copper, lead scraps, batteries, and used oil. Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Manager Procurement Mechanical, located in Vadodara. The role involves managing the procurement process for mechanical materials and equipment, evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring cost efficiency while maintaining quality standards. The Manager will oversee procurement strategies, monitor market trends, and collaborate with internal teams to meet operational needs. The candidate will also be responsible for vendor management and compliance with all procurement-related policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and experience in Procurement and Supplier Evaluation
- Expertise in Contract Negotiation and Contract Management
- Solid Analytical Skills for market analysis, cost saving strategies, and risk assessment
- Proven leadership, decision-making, and interpersonal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Experience in the mining or EPCM industry is highly desirable
- Familiarity with procurement software and ERP systems is a plus
- Ability to work effectively in an on-site work environment
