Job Description

Salary : Rs 8L to Rs 25L

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and coordinate with third-party/ contract manufacturing sites for new product trials and ongoing commercial production

• Monitor manufacturing costs, negotiate/coordinate commercial terms with manufacturing partners, and identify opportunities to improve manufacturing economics.

• Coordinate raw-material planning, procurement requirements, production schedules and dispatches with contract manufacturing partners.

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with contract manufacturing partners and drive timely resolution of technical and commercial issues.

• Own plant-level troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, corrective actions and successful closure of manufacturing issues.

• Monitor yields, process efficiency, and manufacturing costs

• Conduct technical assessments/audits of contract manufacturing facilities

• Develop Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs) and process instructions in coordination with the R&D team

• Handle pilot plant operations for new product development and scale-up trials

• Supervise junior chemists/technical staff involved in plant operations

• Ensure proper documentation, safety compliance, and operational discipline at manufacturing sites

Desired Traits

• The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a startup environment, taking ownership without extensive supervision, travelling to plants at short notice, and working directly with plant owners, production teams and R&D scientists.

Qualifications

• M.Tech / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering OR M.Sc / equivalent degree in Chemistry from a reputed institution

• Minimum 5 years, preferably 10 year plus of experience in process scale-up, and commercial manufacturing in specialty chemicals/fine chemicals/agrochemicals

• Hands on coordination experience with third-party/contract manufacturing sites

• Strong understanding of plant operations, troubleshooting, and process documentation

• Existing network of manufacturing partners in Gujarat and other states is preferred

• Experience with chemical processes involving chlorination/halogenation, sulfonation, alkylation, phosphorus chemistry, or other specialty chemical reactions is preferred
