Role Description The Manager Press Shop will oversee day-to-day operations of the press shop, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production of forged and machined components. Responsibilities include planning and monitoring production schedules, allocating resources, and coordinating with maintenance to minimize downtime. The role involves supervising press shop team members, implementing standard operating procedures, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Manager will collaborate with quality, engineering, and supply chain teams to meet customer requirements and optimize productivity and cost. This is a full-time, on-site role based at the company's manufacturing facility in Jaipur, with immediate joining expected.

Qualifications

  • Strong press shop operations expertise, including experience with mechanical and hydraulic presses, tooling, and production planning.
  • Demonstrated skills in team supervision, workforce planning, and performance management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of quality systems, ISO/TS 16949 standards, and process control methods relevant to forging and machining.
  • Experience in safety management, compliance with industrial safety norms, and implementation of safe work practices.
  • Ability to analyze production data, identify bottlenecks, and lead process improvement and cost-optimization initiatives.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills for working with cross-functional teams such as maintenance, quality, and logistics.
  • Preferably a diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with prior experience managing a press shop or similar production unit.
  • Comfort with on-site, shop-floor-based work and willingness to work in shifts if required.
