ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a seasoned and high-performing Outreach Counselling professional to join the Postgraduate Programmes Outreach team at Ashoka University. The ideal candidate should have proven experience in counselling and enrolment for high-value Medical, Management, Master's, or Executive Education programmes, in India or international markets. The candidate will be responsible for engaging prospective students through telephonic and in-person interactions, effectively guiding them through the admissions journey, and consistently delivering assigned student enrolment and conversion targets.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Relationship Management / Student Counselling

• Build and nurture relationships with prospective students to strengthen engagement and conversion across assigned Postgraduate Programmes.

• High-quality telephonic, virtual, and in-person counselling interactions, understanding student aspirations and guiding them through the programme selection and admissions journey.

• Manage prospective student relationships through consistent follow-ups, addressing queries and overcoming objections to drive applications and enrolments.

2. Strategy

• Execute outreach and enrolment strategies to maximise programme visibility, lead engagement, application conversion, and student enrolments.

• Take ownership of assigned enrolment targets, sales pipeline, and conversion metrics, ensuring consistent performance throughout the admissions cycle.

3. People

• Work closely with the Deputy Director and wider Outreach team to align counselling, outreach, marketing, and admissions activities towards programme enrolment goals.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure prospective students receive a consistent and high-quality experience throughout the admissions journey.

4. Operations

• Maintain accurate and timely updates of lead, counselling, follow-up, application, and enrolment data in the CRM.

• Monitor the assigned student pipeline, prioritise high-potential prospects, and ensure timely follow-ups to maximise conversion.

• Support Masterclasses, Open Houses, webinars, campus engagements, and other outreach initiatives, including on-ground student interactions and counselling.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Qualifications

– Bachelor's/Master's degree or equivalent qualification.

– 5–8 years of relevant experience, preferably with premier education, consulting, or other high-performance organisations.

– Proven ability to engage with a high volume of prospective students in a fast-paced, target-driven environment while maintaining meaningful and consultative conversations.

– You have a strong understanding of sales and enrolment pipelines, demonstrate effective lead management and follow-up, and have a consistent track record of achieving and exceeding enrolment targets.

– Strong executive presence, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and counsel prospective students effectively.
