Manager - Planning

About the Role:

The Manager - Planning, will be a part of the Capacity planning charter and drive key Capacity and Speed metrics, which integrated with broader business metrics, deliver superior customer experience at an optimal cost.

The position requires an individual to have relevant supply chain/analytical experience and expertise to enable scientific decision making and performance improvement measures. The role necessitates a collaborative individual who can build robust plans, understand complex tech products, build system configurations, negotiate, and influence business partners across different functions at Flipkart.

About the Team

Planning is a central team responsible for creating business plans, generating forecasts to enable decision making and building supply plans to ensure operational readiness. The team strives to build balanced plans to optimize customer experience, supply chain reliability & operating costs

You are Responsible for:

Planning & Business Analysis

• Work closely with Business teams to understand the business model and develop Capacity models/planning.
• Work customer backwards to enhance customer experience through better Service Speeds.
• Be an SME for Capacity planning with in-depth understanding of Capacity planning models and tools, processes.
• Drive Speed / Capacity planning improvements. Identify and implement cost reduction and waste removal initiative

Planning Processes

• Closely monitor the Capacity/Speed metrics performance, develop insights and course correct plan
• Develop and continuously evolve dashboarding/reporting to ensure a Laser-sharp focus on Capacity/Speed metric
• Champion data-driven decision making. Translate data analysis into decision recommendations for the business
• Work towards developing solutions using GScripts / R / Python to automate Planning models and processes

To succeed in this role you should have the following:

• 3-5 years of relevant work experience in Planning / Analytics roles in Consulting, FMCG, Ecommerce, Manufacturing domain.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, communication skills & team work, basic functional knowledge of supply strategies, supply planning, supply chain operations, inventory planning, demand forecasting is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with automation and capabilities in R/Python.
