Why this role matters
This role is responsible for building and managing factori.com's network of manufacturing partners across India — and for leading a small team of Assistant Manager PRMs who work with you to do it.
You will be the person every manufacturing partner thinks of when they think of factori.com. You will onboard them, build the relationship, keep it strong, and surface issues early. You will report directly to the Founder & CEO and have a clear line of sight into the most strategic decisions of the business.
What you'll ownBuilding the partner network
- Identify and reach out to suitable manufacturing partners across key apparel and textile hubs in India.
- Run a respectful, professional first conversation with every prospect — factori.com is not a sales pitch to a manufacturer; it is a partnership offer to a qualified factory.
- Maintain a healthy pipeline of new partner prospects each month.
Onboarding partners
- Walk new partners through factori.com's onboarding process — documentation, agreements, sample submission and first order setup.
- Ensure every partner understands how we work, what we expect of them, and what they can expect of us.
- Coordinate with internal teams (Category, Operations, Fulfilment) so the partner has a clean and confident start.
Managing the partner lifecycle
- Be the primary relationship owner for every active manufacturing partner.
- Track partner performance — on-time delivery, quality, communication and overall engagement.
- Run periodic business reviews with active partners. Recognise the best ones. Surface the underperformers early.
- Identify which partners are ready to take on larger orders and recommend their progression to senior management.
Issue management & escalation
- Be the first point of contact for any partner-side concern or dispute.
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams to resolve issues quickly.
- Escalate cleanly and on time when required.
Exit & transitions
- Where a partnership has to end — whether at the partner's request or factori's — manage the closure professionally and ensure all open commitments on both sides are settled.
What you'll lead
You will manage a team of Assistant Managers — PRMs:
- Set weekly priorities and run a structured team rhythm.
- Coach the team on how to interact with partners — tone, vocabulary, professionalism, and follow-through.
- Be the visible role model on partner conversations — your team should learn from how you do it.
- Hire and grow the team as the partner network expands.
What we're looking forMust-have
- 3 – 4 years of experience in B2B partner management / key account management / strategic sourcing / business development / vendor management, ideally with exposure to apparel, textiles, manufacturing, or a B2B sourcing / aggregator context.
- Prior experience working with or managing relationships with manufacturers, vendors or suppliers.
- Excellent spoken and written English; fluency in Hindi strongly preferred; conversational ability in Tamil, Punjabi, Gujarati or Kannada is a major plus.
- Comfort with CRMs, structured trackers, and basic data dashboards.
- Willingness to travel periodically across Indian apparel manufacturing hubs and trade events.
- A degree in Business, Commerce, Engineering or related disciplines. MBA is a plus, not a must.
Nice-to-have
- Prior tenure at a sourcing platform, B2B marketplace, apparel exporter, textile aggregator or contract manufacturer.
- Existing relationships with Indian apparel manufacturers.
- Basic familiarity with apparel manufacturing terminology and economics.
- Prior experience leading a small team.
