Job Description

Position: Manager Parent Affairs

Location: Ashoka University

Reports to: Dean of Student Affairs

Role Summary

The Manager Parent Affairs will establish and operationalise the Parent Support & Engagement Office. The role requires building structured communication systems, managing parent relationships with maturity and firmness, ensuring policy compliance, and aligning communication with institutional governance frameworks.

Preference will be given to candidates who are current or former parents of university-aged students.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the first point of contact for parent queries.

Ensure responses within defined SLAs and track closure.

Develop SOPs and escalation matrices.

Ensure compliance with privacy and confidentiality norms.

Coordinate semester-based academic summary communication.

Collaborate cross-functionally across relevant university departments.

Maintain dashboard of trends, volumes, and escalations.

Support structured parent orientation and annual interaction forums.

Qualifications & Experience

1015 years of experience in relationship or stakeholder management.

Strong process orientation and documentation discipline.

Experience handling emotionally sensitive situations.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

High maturity, discretion, and judgment.

Preferred: Current or former parent of a university-aged student.

Preferred: Experience in higher education or institutional environments.
