Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

External Packaging Innovation

oDrive packaging innovation by liaising with external packaging solution providers, suppliers, and technology partners.

oScout, evaluate, and implement emerging packaging technologies aligned with patient-centricity, cost efficiency, and regulatory expectations.

oManage vendor collaborations from concept development through industrialization and scale-up.

Sustainability & Lifecycle Management

oChampion sustainable packaging solutions across NPI and LCM projects, including material reduction, recyclability, and eco-design.

oEnsure alignment with corporate sustainability goals and evolving environmental regulations.

oLead value engineering and continuous improvement initiatives without compromising quality or compliance.

Packaging Safety & Compliance

oEnsure packaging safety by proactively addressing risks related to nitrosamines, PFAS, extractables, and leachable.

oDrive compliance with global regulatory, pharmacopeial, and quality standards.

oPartner with Quality, Regulatory, and EHS teams to ensure robust risk assessments and mitigation strategies.

Product Security & Anti-Counterfeiting

oImplement and maintain anti-counterfeiting and product security features such as serialization, tamper evidence, and traceability solutions.

oStrengthen supply chain integrity and safeguard patient safety through secure packaging designs.

oCollaborate with global security, manufacturing, and commercial teams to deploy scalable solutions.

Cross-Functional Leadership

oWork closely with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Procurement, and Marketing to ensure seamless execution of packaging projects.

oLead technical documentation, vendor qualification, and change management activities.

Mentor junior team members and contribute to capability building within the packaging function.
