Position Summary

Nunez Community College is seeking a Manager of Institutional Research (IR), Institutional Effectiveness (IE) and Compliance who will provide essential support in the collection, analysis, and reporting of data related to student success programs. In addition, the manager will support faculty and academic departments in the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of program assessment processes.

Duties And Responsibilities

Institutional Research

  • Collects and inputs data on industry certification schedule and attainment.
  • Design program/department fact sheets to display student success.
  • Maintain data integrity by performing quality control checks and identifying discrepancies or trends.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and external accrediting bodies.

Program - Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborate with academic departments to design effective assessment tools and data collection methods. Assist with the analysis and interpretation of assessment results and guide departments in using data to inform program improvements.
  • Serves as a resource for faculty and staff on issues pertaining to program evaluation and student learning outcomes. Maintain all college assessment records through annual reports.
  • Facilitate training and professional development workshops on assessment practices, data use, and continuous improvement.

Compliance

  • Assist program chairs with programmatic accreditation compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with FERPA and other data privacy regulations.
  • Review IE plans to ensure SACSCOC compliance.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of IR/IE, Provost or Chancellor.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Sciences Information Sciences or a related field.

Required Experience:

  • Three (3) years of related work involving assessment and/or institutional effectiveness.

Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:

  • A strong understanding of data collection, integrity, and analysis, specifically related to student success, program outcomes, and institutional effectiveness.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Ability to present and disseminate data.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively.

Preferred Education:

  • Master's degree in Education, Social Sciences Information Sciences or a related field.

Preferred Experience:

  • Five (5) years of related work involving assessment and/or institutional effectiveness.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of compliance requirements for both programmatic and institutional accreditation (e.g., SACSCOC).
  • Experience with curriculum mapping and learning management systems.
