- Review of Customer drawing & standards for Material specifications
- Checking & validation on feasibility of properties / performance based on the existing capability / capacity available in house (BFL)
- Case to case basis initiate activities calling for actual testing before committing on performance
- Ability to initiate innovative product development.
- Analyse new components, materials and technologies to evaluate functionalities for all products
- Independently facilitates forging validations & trials
- Shall be conversant with Micro alloyed Steel portfolio
- Document records for all process/ project proposals and associated activities.
- Check & Validate PPAP and Control Plans for all NPD's
- Give guidance to the team on technical compliance
- Experience on Quality Systems IATF, ISO etc
Key Deliverables & Technical skills required
- In depth knowledge on Metallurgy, forging, heat treatment, product testing and performance mapping
- Knowledge of PPAP, FMEA etc
- Experience on ISO/ IATF & or allied systems
Experience
Minimum 10 years experience in Process setting, Forging domain
Qualification
Graduation / Post Graduation in Metallurgy
