Job Description
Position: Production Manager (M2) Department: Manufacturing / Production Location: (Goa), Grade: M2 (Mid-Level Manager)
The Production Manager (M2) is responsible for
planning, executing, and supervising manufacturing operations to ensure production targets are met safely, efficiently, and in compliance with
cGMP, regulatory, and quality standards. The role requires
team leadership, process optimization, and cross-functional coordination to achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Operations Management
- Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules
- Ensure achievement of production targets, yield, and cycle time
- Monitor and control machine utilization, downtime, and productivity
- Support internal and external audits (USFDA, MHRA, WHO, etc.)Ensure proper documentation (BMR/BPR, logbooks, deviation handling)Investigate deviations, OOS, and implement CAPA
- Lead and manage a team of officers, operators, and supervisorsAllocate manpower effectively to meet production goalsConduct training on SOPs, safety, and complianceDrive performance, discipline, and team engagement
- Drive Lean Manufacturing / Operational Excellence initiativesImprove productivity, yield, and cost efficiency
Work Experience
14–17 years
- Strong leadership exposure
- Managed multiple lines or departments
- Experience in project execution / scale-up / tech transfer
- Candidate should have experience in at least one of:
- Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) manufacturing (granulation, compression, coating)
