Job Description

Role Objective:

To drive international business growth and market expansion across India, APAC regions by managing strategic key accounts and identifying new product opportunities through data-driven market intelligence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Market Intelligence & Portfolio Growth: Analyze Export, IMS, and Cortelis databases to identify gaps, suggest new product additions to the portfolio, and maintain rigorous tracking of competitor activities.
  • Relationship Management: Manage and scale relationships with international clients across the APAC, India to ensure long-term business sustainability with key accounts in India regulated business
  • Business Development: Provide a dedicated contribution to new business development initiatives utilizing existing products within the current portfolio.
  • Commercial Leadership: Lead and navigate complex commercial discussions, including pricing strategies, volume commitments, and contract negotiations.
  • Sales Operations & Execution: Drive the end-to-end sales execution process from purchase order (PO) processing to final order closure and dispatch alignment.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Technical, Production, Regulatory, and Finance teams to ensure seamless customer service and efficient query resolution.
  • Regulatory & Technical Liaison: Handle technical queries related to DMF, VQ, specifications, and compliance to meet international standards.
  • Financial Coordination: Support credit assessment processes, define payment terms, and oversee invoicing coordination to ensure healthy cash flow.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute actively to business planning, sales forecasting, and budgeting cycles.

STAKEHOLDER INTERACTION

Type of Interaction: Internal

  • Interaction with: Technical, Planning, R&D, Project Management, Production, Regulatory, and Finance teams.
  • Nature of Interaction: Collaborating for query resolution, order fulfillment, and regulatory compliance (DMF/VQ).

Type of Interaction: External

  • Interaction with: International clients APAC, India regulated business companies and market data providers.
  • Nature of Interaction: Commercial negotiations, relationship management, and market intelligence gathering.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Professional Experience and Relevant Skills:

  • Experience: Proven track record in international sales/business development within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in analyzing IMS, Cortelis, and Export databases; knowledge of DMF and regulatory compliance.
  • Skills: Strong commercial negotiation skills, financial acumen (credit/invoicing), and cross-functional leadership.

Academic Qualifications & Certifications:

Educational Qualification: Graduate/Post-Graduate in Pharmacy, Science, PGDM or MBA International Business (preferred).
