Job Description

NSDC is strengthening its engagement with premier Institutes of National Importance (INIs), including Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs), and other leading institutions under the INI initiative.

The role requires a dynamic professional who can build strategic institutional partnerships, conceptualise and launch high-impact executive education and skilling programs, identify emerging sectors/domains for future-ready offerings, and drive operational expansion of the INI vertical.

The individual will work closely with academic leadership, industry stakeholders, Sector Skill Councils (SSCs), corporates, and internal NSDC teams to create scalable and industry-aligned programs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Institutional Relationship Management

  • Manage and deepen partnerships with IITs, IIMs, and other premier institutions.
  • Act as the single point of contact for partner institutions for strategic and operational coordination.
  • Build long-term engagement plans with institutional leadership, faculty, and program offices.
  • Identify opportunities for expanding collaboration across new schools, departments, and centres within partner institutions.

2. Program Development & Launch

  • Conceptualize new executive education, skilling, certification, and hybrid learning programs aligned with industry demand.
  • Work with academic institutions and industry experts to co-create curriculum frameworks.
  • Drive end-to-end program launch activities including approvals, commercials, timelines, branding, outreach, and operational execution.
  • Coordinate with technology/platform, admissions, marketing, finance, and operations teams for smooth program delivery.

3. Market & Sector Intelligence

  • Scout emerging sectors, technologies, and domains for future program opportunities.
  • Conduct market research and benchmarking on trends in higher education, skilling, executive education, and lifelong learning.
  • Identify white spaces where NSDC can build differentiated offerings with INIs.
  • Track demand from corporates, government initiatives, and industry transformation areas such as AI, semiconductors, EVs, sustainability, robotics, Industry 4.0, healthcare, fintech, media & entertainment, logistics, and green energy.

4. Business Development & Expansion

  • Develop annual pipeline of new institutional partnerships and program opportunities.
  • Support revenue growth and scale-up of the INI vertical.
  • Engage with corporates for customized learning and workforce upskilling solutions.
  • Support preparation of strategic proposals, concept notes, presentations, and partnership frameworks.

5. Stakeholder Coordination

  • Collaborate with Sector Skill Councils, ministries, industry bodies, and ecosystem partners.
  • Facilitate governance reviews, steering committee meetings, and program performance reviews.
  • Ensure alignment of programs with NSQF, industry standards, and employability outcomes where relevant.

Requirements

Educational Qualification

  • MBA / PGDM / Master's degree from a reputed institution.
  • Background in education, skilling, public policy, engineering, management, or allied domains preferred.

  • 7–10 years of experience in:
