ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES |
Job Purpose/Objective | Ensure high availability, resilience, integrity, and performance of the Terminal Operating System (TOS) and auxiliary systems across terminals through 24x7 operational support. Act as the first line of response for TOS-related incidents, minimizing operational disruption and business risk. Maintain, monitor, and continuously improve TOS performance, integrations, data integrity, and system reliability.

| Ensure 99.9% system availability of TOS and associated production services. Provide 24x7 shift-based support for TOS, including auxiliary systems such as VMT/HHT, RFID, OCR, EDI, Web Portals, Weight Scale Integration, PDS/DGPS, and related interfaces. Serve as the primary escalation and resolution point for TOS incidents, endpoints, and API/integration failures. Administer, monitor, and fine-tune TOS application configurations, database performance, and system parameters. Manage backup, recovery, PROD & DR environments, including routine recovery testing aligned with business continuity requirements. Oversee installation, maintenance, replication, patching, and version control of TOS environments across sites. Design, develop, and optimize SQL / PL-SQL queries, routines, logics, and reports based on schema and operational needs. Maintain EDI workflows and collaborate with internal SPOCs and external stakeholders on reporting and interface requirements. Ensure proper documentation of manuals, project artifacts, change requests, incidents, and enhancements. Manage user access, privileges, roles, and security controls within TOS environments. Support solution design, development, testing, and implementation activities related to TOS enhancements. Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and system optimization recommendations. Deliver TOS-related training and user familiarization sessions where required. Coordinate with vendors, technology partners, and internal teams for issue resolution and system enhancements. Ensure timely deployment of patches and adherence to SLAs at assigned terminals. Perform any additional responsibilities assigned by Head - TOS / Head - Shared Services.

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES |
Skills and Competencies | Strong hands-on experience in TOS administration, configuration, and support. Solid understanding of database management, SQL, PL/SQL, and performance tuning. Knowledge of TOS auxiliary systems and terminal technology ecosystems. Understanding of BCP, DRP, data integrity, cybersecurity, and IT governance practices. Exposure to infrastructure, hosting environments, and system integrations. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Effective stakeholder management, communication, and coordination abilities. Ability to operate in high-pressure, business-critical operational environments.
