Manager – Digital Transformation / Industry 4.0
Job Purpose:
The role forms part of the Central Digital Transformation function, enabling manufacturing to become a sustainable competitive advantage through Industry 4.0, advanced analytics, AI/ML, and digital manufacturing platforms. The incumbent will create, anchor, and scale end‑to‑end digital transformation programs across manufacturing sites, suppliers, and logistics nodes. The role is accountable for delivering measurable business impact across cost, service, safety, quality, productivity, and sustainability while embedding digital capabilities into daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive end‑to‑end digital transformation initiatives aligned to manufacturing strategy and enterprise priorities.
- Own design, deployment, and scaling of Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing use cases across multiple sites.
- Lead AI/ML‑driven solutions including Digital Quality, Digital Twin, predictive analytics, and advanced process control.
- Translate emerging technologies into standardized, scalable manufacturing solutions with clear business cases and benefit tracking.
- Manage multi‑site digital program governance including prioritization, risk management, and value realization.
- Drive adoption of core manufacturing digital platforms such as Digital Factory Operating Systems, Statistical Process Control, Energy & Sustainability Analytics, and Manufacturing Control Towers.
- Partner closely with plant leadership to embed digital solutions into daily management routines and operational decision‑making.
- Actively travel to manufacturing sites to assess adoption, identify gaps, and replicate best practices across the network.
- Serve as a change leader and advocate for digital ways of working across operations.
- Anchor the Digital / Industry 4.0 Centre of Excellence to build repeatable capabilities, standards, and reusable platforms.
- Design and deliver digital capability‑building programs across all levels of the organization.
- Engage with global technology partners, start‑ups, and academic institutions to stay current on emerging Industry 4.0 trends and innovations.
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Engineering graduate with 3–5+ years of experience in manufacturing digital transformation, Industry 4.0, automation, or advanced analytics roles.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, digital architectures, data platforms, and cloud‑based solutions.
- Proven experience in scaling pilots into enterprise‑wide deployments across multiple manufacturing sites.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders across functions without direct authority.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and program management capabilities.
- Hands‑on experience driving measurable business outcomes through digital initiatives.
- Experience in FMCG, process manufacturing, or complex industrial environments preferred.
