JOB PURPOSE
Facility & Manpower Planning for Plant operations for executing manufacturing activities as per Management targets including New Model Introduction, new line establishment, capacity & budget planning and continuous PQCDSM improvements (e.g. Process Improvements for establishment of 3P Controls, Output/man/DPR/RFT/Flexibility Improvement, VAVE Proposals, New Technology Adaption etc). Driving the Manpower saving Projects through ECRS, Offloading, and Automation.
Educational Qualifications: B.E. / B.Tech(Mechanical/Production/Industrial)

KEY COMPETENCIES
Technical/Functional
- Knowledge of assembly processes, facility planning & manpower management
- Knowledge of plant layout preparation, Time study, Line balancing & capacity calculations.
- New model introduction- Study engg BOM, Process planning, DFA/DFM study.
- Required Normal Time (RNT) / work content calculation for In-house and Vendor processes
- Knowledge of processes Fabrication, press parts, molding.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Planning for line balancing (sequence of operations) / Manpower for conveyorized assembly- Knowledge of IE techniques, (Method study and time study /Most).
- Planning of Motorcycle assembly operations activities on the conveyor.
- Shop / Cell Layout modification, improvements, and material handling system in the manufacturing shop, etc.
- Planning, negotiations, ordering, installation,n and commissioning new manufacturing facilities.
- Implement Engineering changes in existing models and interface with PPC / QA / Mfg shops to ensure smooth implementation.
- Manpower requirement estimations, planning, and saving initiatives.
- Calculation of Service provider manpower requirement on a monthly basis & weekly basis
- Estimation of manpower requirement for future volume projection and coordination with HRD for manpower recruitment
- Defining effective conveyor Line Setting based on the sales plan and coordinating with the PPC (Production Planning & Control) department for Production Planning
- Contract manpower activity study and manpower planning for material handling, packaging processes (Non-core activities)
- Service provider piece rate calculation (Vehicle Assly, Engine Assly, Paint Shop, Export Packing, Vehicle Dispatch) and piece rate optimization after every 6 months
