The Role

As a Manager I, Applications with Worley,you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and other cross functional team members (Developers, Functional Analysts, and Testers) to produce scalable, efficient and supportable solutions utilizing Oracle EBS and secondary reporting technologies.Drive the design, build and implementation of solutions to solve business requirements for analysis, solutioning, testing, implementation and production support of a reporting solution for Oracle EBS and other systems.
  • Implement new functionality, system capabilities, and solutions to enhance the user experience
  • Act as the liaison between business and technology teams to review business processes, understand requirements, perform fit/gap analysis, evaluate options and decide direction.
  • Manage the software developers, analysts and production support team to deliver the reporting solutions.
  • Coordinate with infrastructure resources, and managed services team to deliver a scalable, well-performing environment for users.
  • Act as a project manager/coordinator for small to midsize initiatives – Define project scope and objectives by gathering requirements, develop project plans, timelines and lead the successful execution.
  • Responsible to ensure appropriate testing is designed and successfully tested. Responsible for review of results conducted by others to identify completeness and possible problems. Communicating with development team on problems and errors for resolution.
  • Responsible for working with internal and managed services functional service in troubleshooting and root cause analysis while fostering learning atmosphere.
  • Coordinate work efforts with internal and vendor-based team(s) for application changes, production issues, and system performance issues.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

About You

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:

Relevant Knowledge And Experience

  • Degree related to Finance, Accounting, Computer Science or another relevant field.
  • Fluent/Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • 10+ years Oracle EBS 19c/23ai with focus in Projects, GL, and SLA.
  • 5+ years experience with data integrations/replications and operational reporting
  • 5+ years experience in global environments with in-depth understanding of Multi-Org, Currency conversions, intercompany, borrowed & lent concepts.
  • 5+ years experience with managing reporting team from production support through development.
  • 3+ years experience with managing geographically dispersed team.
  • Knowledgeable in other Oracle EBS modules (AP, AR, FA, Collections, OTL, HR, Procurement)
  • Knowledgeable with project-based accounting concepts (e.g. DSO, Work at Risk, Backlog)
  • Knowledgeable in multiple of the following reporting tools: Power BI, Noetix, Essbase, Data Warehousing, OBIEE, Oracle Analytical Server, Tableau, Cognos, Hyperion.

Technical And Industry Experience.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with Operational and Corporate Finance groups
  • Skilled detail-oriented problem solver. Ability to identify problems and research root cause
  • Hands-On experience in writing SQL queries and good understanding of R12 table structures is required
  • Experience in month-end processes, ledger reconciliation and summary reporting tools to develop internal and external reports is required
  • Technical savvy with the ability to quickly understand different systems and processes
  • Ability to provide clear oral and written communication to a variety of business and technical audiences.
  • Proven experience in designing and supporting RICEW components.
  • Familiarity and experience with Hyperion suite is an advantage.
  • Ability to coordinate and support activities beyond regular working hours.
  • Experience in project based and/or engineering industry a plus.
