Job Description

Overall responsible for EHS measures for the blue bird project (Construction site), Compliances, audits and reporting to site in-charge.

Areas of Expertise

  • Work experience in implementation of OSHAS, EMS and ISO systems for manufacturing facility.
  • Hands on experience on implementation of OSHAS, EMS and ISO systems, SOP s, Work instructions, check lists and follow up for implementation.
  • Should have handled the statutory / Regulatory compliances during pre -construction and post construction operation of facility.
  • Should be able to handle the department independently with his team on the construction site.
  • Should have experience in creating the incident / Accident reports, able to do investigations, identify root cause and implement systems, provide training to site construction team and able to monitor the effective implementation of the same.
  • Should conduct safety audits at regular intervals (As per statutory requirements) , prepare the audit report with action tracker, follow up on effective closure of action items and report to site-in-charge.
  • Should be well versed with POSH rules and regulations, able to implement adequate measures at construction site and facility to make sure no such incidents happen in construction site.
  • Should have exposure on sustainability implementation and IGBC certification concepts.
  • Should have through knowledge on implementation of safety rules and regulations at construction site for workers with permits like PPE s, working at heights, working in confined spaces, working on electrical installations, working in hazardous chemicals, forklift operation, crane operations, noise environment, welding & gas cutting works, dangerous goods etc.
  • Should have through knowledge on labour laws, factory inspectorate laws, regulations, acts and should be able to co-relate to working conditions and implement suitable compliance actions.
  • Managing the soft service agencies like Housekeeping, Gardening, Security and contractual staff (Technicians).
  • Should possess high level of problem -solving techniques using simple but effective quality tools.
  • Should be able to conduct first aid training to the team.
  • Should be able to conduct fire mock drills for the entire organization.
  • Should have knowledge on NBC and NFPA standards for the hydrant and sprinkler systems implementation for the manufacturing facilities.

Job Specifications

  • Education
  • Diploma / Engineering in Environment science with industrial safety diploma and certification.
  • Experience
  • 10-12+ years of experience in EHS for manufacturing & Construction facilities.
  • Relevant industry experience is preferable
