EVM (and the broader enterprise vendor ecosystem approach) focuses on creating operational discipline beyond point of contracting, managing escalated issues and risks, and applying differentiated governance based on vendor segmentation, with a holistic program supporting performance, innovation, and value.

Job Summary
As a Manager in Global Enterprise Vendor Management (EVM) within the PFI Innovation GCC, you will own end-to-end governance for a portfolio of strategic vendors while leading and developing an EVM team. You are accountable for execution quality, stakeholder confidence, issue resolution, value protection, and risk/compliance outcomes across the vendor lifecycle.
This role operates at both strategic and operational levels — setting standards, coaching teams, and directly engaging with senior business, technology, procurement, finance, and risk leaders. The role is global in scope and supports Prudential's continued EVM expansion across regions (including Japan and LATAM) through consistent governance models, repeatable operating rhythms, and executive-ready insights.
You will operate in a Prudential-native culture with an AI-native mindset, leveraging data, automation, and modern ways of working to elevate governance quality, team productivity, and enterprise outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Vendor Portfolio Ownership & Contract Governance
- Own governance for a portfolio of strategic and high-risk vendors, ensuring contractual, operational, financial, and risk expectations are met.
- Serve as the primary EVM escalation point for complex vendor issues, disputes, and performance risks.
- Ensure disciplined contract and obligation management across MSAs, SOWs, schedules, and amendments.
- Oversee contract change governance end-to-end, ensuring clarity of impacts, approvals, documentation, and audit trails.
- Enterprise Governance, Performance & Executive Reporting
- Lead execution of tiered vendor governance models, including operational, senior leadership, and executive cadences.
- Ensure high-quality, consistent vendor scorecards, dashboards, and executive materials across the team.
- Translate performance data into clear narratives, insights, and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Establish and enforce governance standards, templates, and rhythms to ensure enterprise consistency.
- Issue Management, Escalation & Root Cause Resolution
- Own the issue escalation framework for assigned vendors and across the team's portfolio.
- Lead complex root cause analyses and ensure sustainable remediation plans are defined, tracked, and closed.
- Partner with business and vendor leadership to resolve systemic issues and prevent recurrence.
- Ensure disciplined issue logging, prioritization, evidence capture, and closure reporting.
- Financial Baselining, Value Protection & Commercial Oversight
- Own financial baselining and value protection across the vendor portfolio, including run-rate visibility and key value levers.
- Proactively identify and resolve value leakage, including billing discrepancies, missed credits, and non-compliance to commercial terms.
- Partner closely with Finance and Procurement to ensure governance-quality financial reporting and transparency.
- Provide oversight and guidance on commercial commitments tied to transformation outcomes.
- Risk, Controls & Compliance Leadership
- Ensure vendor risk registers are accurate, current, and actively managed with clear ownership and mitigation actions.
- Lead governance readiness for audits, control reviews, and compliance checkpoints.
- Drive consistent documentation standards, evidence discipline, and control hygiene across the team.
- Escalate material risks with clear impact assessments and recommended actions.
- Team Leadership & Capability Development
- Directly manage, coach, and develop EVM Specialists.
- Set clear expectations for quality, timeliness, stakeholder engagement, and governance discipline.
- Conduct workload planning, prioritization, and performance management for the team.
- Build team capability in vendor governance, analytics, issue management, and executive communication.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and One Prudential execution.
- Global Scale Enablement & Continuous Improvement
- Enable consistent EVM execution across regions (Japan, LATAM, and others) by scaling standards, routines, and artifacts.
- Coordinate across time zones to support global governance cadences and leadership forums.
- Identify opportunities to improve throughput and quality through process standardization, automation, and AI-enabled insights.
- Actively contribute to the evolution of the EVM operating model as the function matures.
AI-Native, Prudential-Native Ways of Working
- Lead with an enterprise mindset—consistent standards, outcome-based governance, and disciplined execution.
- Leverage AI-assisted analysis and automation (where permitted) to improve insight generation and team productivity.
- Uphold strong data hygiene, documentation standards, and control discipline.
- Model responsible data and risk practices across all vendor engagements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Technology, Operations, or a related field (MBA preferred but not required).
- 6-8 years of experience in one or more of:
- Enterprise vendor management
- Strategic sourcing or procurement governance
- Contract or commercial operations
- Service delivery or performance governance
- Risk, controls, or financial management in a complex enterprise
- Prior people management or team lead experience required
- Comfort working in global, matrixed environments with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Preferred (Nice to Have):
- Experience managing strategic or high-risk vendors in a global, matrixed environment
- Strong experience with scorecards, KPI/SLA frameworks, issue and risk logs, and executive governance materials
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with dashboards / BI tools (e.g., Power BI)
- Familiarity with CLM tools, service management platforms, and enterprise governance repositories
