Job Summary

The Global Immigration Manager facilitates international mobility by navigating complex regulatory frameworks for employees and hiring managers. They act as the primary point of contact for external counsel and internal stakeholders (HR, Legal, Tax) to provide a seamless relocation experience while ensuring corporate compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Immigration Strategy: Develop, update, and manage global mobility policies to ensure scalability and compliance with international laws.
  • Case Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of international work visas, permits, and relocations (visa applications, renewals, and tracking expirations).
  • Vendor Management: Partner with external immigration legal counsel and vendors to manage caseloads and track performance against Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Compliance & Risk: Monitor global immigration policy shifts, ensuring full right-to-work compliance, and managing documentation to mitigate risks.
  • Stakeholder Advisory: Advise HR and business leaders on immigration legislation changes and provide guidance on employee mobility options.
  • Budget & Data: Prepare and monitor annual immigration budgets, maintaining accurate records of visa status within the company's HRIS (e.g., Workday).

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: 8-10+ years in Global Mobility or immigration, with experience managing international assignments.
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of U.S/U.K and, preferably, international immigration regulations.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for counseling employees and advising stakeholders.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage teams and handle high-volume, complex cases.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in HR, Law, or a related field.
