cKers Finance (pronounced seekers) is an innovative sustainability finance company focused on offering specialized debt products for Energy and Resource Sustainability initiatives, including rooftop solar and electric vehicles.

cKers is looking for a finance specialist to support and expand its liability and capital raising franchise by managing relationships with banks, financial institutions, NBFCs, impact investors, and equity investors. The role will involve driving debt and equity fundraising initiatives, investor relations, co-lending partnerships, and strategic financial planning to support the company's growth objectives.

cKers Finance (www.cKersFinance.in) aims to drive innovation in debt financing in areas related to Energy and Resource Sustainability. It invests in assets that will provide a higher return than what the market anticipates on a risk-adjusted basis. It has been launched by cKinetics and IIM Ahmedabad's Centre for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship along with Infuse Ventures. It is also backed by the California Clean Energy Fund (CalCEF) and has partnered with the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) to grow the sustainable energy space in India.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage and strengthen relationships with Banks, Financial Institutions (FIs), NBFCs, private equity investors, venture capital funds, and other strategic investors for debt and equity fundraising initiatives.
  • Drive fundraising through diversified and cost-effective structures including term loans, pool securitization, direct assignment transactions, co-origination/co-lending models, structured finance instruments, and equity capital raises.
  • Support equity fundraising activities including preparation of investor materials, due diligence data rooms, and coordination with prospective investors, advisors, and legal teams.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective equity investors, ensuring regular engagement and transparent communication on business performance and strategic initiatives.
  • Drive resource planning and fund mobilization from multiple borrowing and capital sources to support the company's lending operations and balance sheet growth objectives.
  • Lead and manage the organization's co-lending and co-origination initiatives with partner institutions.
  • Ensure timely compliance with regulatory requirements and lender/investor-specific covenants, documentation, reporting obligations, and information requests.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for investor relations, addressing investor queries and providing periodic updates on financial performance, operational metrics, strategic developments, and key milestones.
  • Prepare detailed financial models, business projections, fundraising presentations, information memorandums, and pitch decks to support debt and equity fundraising initiatives as well as strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare and present liquidity management, ALM, and market risk analysis reports to Senior Management and the Board.
  • Manage treasury operations including cash flow planning, liquidity management, deployment of surplus funds, and bridging short-term funding gaps.
  • Liaise with credit rating agencies for obtaining and monitoring long-term and short-term credit ratings of the Company.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders including Finance, Treasury, Risk, Operations, Legal, and Strategy teams for smooth execution of fundraising transactions and investor servicing.

 You must have

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field (Master's degree or CA preferred).
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in fundraising, investor relations, treasury, or financial modelling within the BFSI sector.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, debt and equity fundraising, investment structures, and capital markets.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and create accurate financial models.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience in preparing pitch decks, investor presentations, and fundraising materials.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling software and MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Compensation & Benefits

  • CTC up to ₹16 Lakhs per annum, based on candidate experience and fitment.
