As a Manager – Financial Controller, you will be responsible for end-to-end controllership operations, including financial and statutory reporting, tax and regulatory compliance, audit management, internal controls, and team leadership. You will partner closely with senior finance leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, process discipline, and scalable finance operations, while also driving automation and continuous improvements.
Responsibilities:
Financial Controllership & Reporting:
- Own the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
- Maintain the general ledger, ensure completeness of books, and oversee the Record-to-Report (R2R) cycle.
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with Indian GAAP / Ind AS, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
- Support preparation of consolidated financials for the group, including intercompany reconciliations and eliminations.
- Drive revenue assurance — monitor billing, contracts, and data flows to prevent revenue leakage in the high-volume digital business environment.
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.
Statutory Compliances:
- Ensure timely compliance with all statutory obligations.
- Coordinate and manage statutory audits and internal audits — liaise with auditors, review schedules, and ensure clean audit closure.
- Ensure compliance with FEMA regulations for cross-border receipts, remittances, and overseas entity transactions (Singapore).
- Maintain and update statutory registers, fixed asset registers, and all compliance trackers.
- Assist in preparation of disclosures and documentation required under pre-IPO and post-listing regulatory requirements.
Direct Taxation:
- Manage end-to-end TDS compliance — deduction, challan payment, quarterly return filing (26Q, 27Q), and issuance of Form 16 / 16A.
- Coordinate advance tax computation and timely payment to avoid interest under Sections 234B and 234C.
- Support preparation and filing of corporate income tax returns, tax audit reports (Form 3CD), and transfer pricing documentation.
- Assist in responding to notices, assessments, and proceedings before income tax authorities.
- Working knowledge of withholding tax implications on international payments and DTAA provisions.
Indirect Taxation (GST):
- Oversee GST compliance — monthly and quarterly return filing including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and annual return (GSTR-9 / 9C).
- Manage GSTR-2A / 2B reconciliation and ensure maximum input tax credit utilisation.
- Ensure e-invoicing compliance and e-way bill management wherever applicable.
- Handle GST notices, audits, and departmental correspondence.
- Stay updated on GST amendments relevant to the digital / gaming / app-based business model, including taxation of online gaming.
Procure-to-Pay (P2P):
- Oversee end-to-end P2P cycle — purchase requisition, vendor onboarding, invoice processing, approvals, and payment disbursement.
- Ensure proper TDS deduction and GST treatment on vendor invoices, and timely vendor reconciliations.
- Manage accounts payable ageing and drive timely payment cycles without cash flow disruption.
- Review and strengthen vendor contracts from a financial risk and compliance standpoint.
- Coordinate with internal teams for accruals, prepayments, and month-end payable reconciliations.
Order-to-Cash (O2C):
- Oversee the O2C cycle including revenue recognition, invoicing, collections, and customer reconciliations.
- Ensure accuracy of revenue booking in line with Ind AS 115 / applicable accounting standards for digital and subscription-based revenues.
- Monitor accounts receivable ageing, coordinate collections, and manage credit risk on customer accounts.
- Reconcile revenue from app stores (Google Play, Apple App Store) and ad monetisation platforms with internal records.
- Support revenue assurance processes — identify gaps between contracted, billed, and collected amounts.
Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 5–7 years of post-qualification experience in finance and accounts.
- Prior experience in a digital, gaming, SaaS, or high-volume internet B2C company strongly preferred — candidates from companies with automated, high-volume revenue processes (digital wallets, telco, gaming) will be given preference.
- Hands-on experience across controllership, statutory compliance, GST, TDS, P2P, and O2C functions.
- Strong working knowledge of Indian GAAP / Ind AS and practical experience with R2R processes.
- Experience handling FEMA / cross-border transactions and international entity compliance (Singapore exposure is a plus).

- Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple compliance deadlines, and a proactive problem-solving approach.
