Job Description

We are hiring an experienced Manager – Controllership professional to lead and manage financial accounting, reporting, and controllership operations for a global finance organization

Work Locations: Bangalore, Pune, or Mumbai (Hybrid – 1 week WFO/month)

Shift: 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM (During peak periods: 6:00 PM – 3:00 AM)

Week Off: Saturday & Sunday fixed

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Chartered Accountants handling Financial Close, Reporting, FP&A, Legal Entity Control, and Statutory Accounting.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with US GAAP / UK GAAP / IFRS standards.
  • Manage month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
  • Drive process transformation and automation initiatives across finance functions.
  • Provide FP&A support related to reporting, forecasting, and performance metrics.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external auditors for financial control and compliance.
  • Support audits, SOX controls, and ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks.

Requirements

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) – mandatory.
  • 12+ years of experience in controllership, accounting, or financial reporting roles.
  • Currently working at a Manager level or above.
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards (US GAAP / UK GAAP / IFRS).
  • Hands-on expertise in financial systems and tools (Excel, PowerPoint, ERP platforms).
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Must be comfortable with late evening shifts and hybrid work model.
  • Candidates must be willing to relocate to any of the listed locations if residing elsewhere.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in Finance Transformation, Automation, and Analytics projects.
  • Exposure to both Accounting and FP&A processes.
  • Prior experience in a regulated or audit-driven environment.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis proficiency.
  • Candidates with valid Indian Passport (minimum 2 years validity) preferred.
  • Holding US/UK visa will be an added advantage.
