Manager - Finance Operations
In This Role, You Will
- Exercise oversight on General ledger and/or FR Consolidation functionalities and its usage in alignment with organisational protocols.
- Monitor and evaluate performance metrics to ensure alignment with the target set as per the SLA/KPI. Review, oversee, update/maintain the Process manuals and Standard Operating Processes.
- Oversee and analyse production system support tasks performed during Daily, Monthly, Quarterly and Year-end close.
- Provide efficient and effective functional SME input for the Finance Operations supporting the line finance users and business partners.
- Manage production issues & resolution and communicate & escalate any challenges to Finance/Business Users, Regional IT teams in a timely manner.
- Provide strategic oversight and guidance in Support activities including assisting in UAT of new enhancements, transition of changes from project to BAU and other advisory roles.
- Coordination with IT and other pertinent upstream and downstream. Provide expert-level guidance and advisory oversight on the resolution of Complex User Queries. Facilitate strategic alignment Business & GFOC management with timely system updates.
- Partnering with the Change team with various system updates and changes. Responsible for the coordination and governance of controls used in the system.
- Conceives Idea and spread awareness in respect of implementing various automation tools to reduce manual efforts.
- Participate in testing and support end users for UAT / Go-Live approval. identifying opportunities for process re-engineering/ improvements, drive changes independently with minimal directions.
To Be Successful You Will
- MCA / BE / MBA / M Com. Qualified Accountant (Chartered, ACCA or CIMA) with overall 5 - 10 years of experience of working on Finance Systems
- Knowledge of General ledger and/or FR Consolidation systems is must. Knowledge of SOX and Audit Controls related to process management.
- Update/maintain the Process manuals and Standard Operating Processes. Ability to comprehend, interpret and transform huge volume of finance data.
- Experience of Process Streamlining using automation tools (like Xceptor/PYTHON/Appian). Ability to quickly learn & understand the multiple ledger systems within FSO
- Good understanding of multiple GL systems within HSBC - FTP, Fusion. HUB, PSGL & AssureNET(Cadency) and/or Consolidation systems e.g. Saracen including architecture and data flow.
- Respond to and provide extended support as required by the Business Deliverables. Extended hours / weekend support.
- Robust experience in planning and organizing work in a global environment. Effective time management skills and ability to work under pressure with challenging deadlines.
