Role: Manager Finance - FP&A

What will you create and do

We are looking for a highly analytical and business-oriented Manager - FP&A to establish and lead the business partnering function at Conversive (SMS Magic). In this role, you will work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product/R&D leadership, providing financial insights, budgeting discipline, and strategic decision support.

You will play a key role in aligning business strategy with financial outcomes, ensuring efficient capital allocation, improving financial visibility across functions, and supporting leadership with data-driven recommendations. The role requires strong financial modeling, SaaS business understanding, and stakeholder management to help drive sustainable growth.

What will qualify you for this role

Essential

Strong understanding of SaaS business models, revenue streams, and cost structures

Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

Strong financial modeling skills including ROI, NPV, and business case preparation

Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable business insights

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability

Ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional leaders and business teams

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Strong proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets for financial analysis and modeling

Desired Skills

Deep understanding of SaaS metrics such as ARR, MRR, CAC, LTV, and revenue recognition

Experience working with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms

Experience supporting Sales, Marketing, and Product functions in financial planning

Ability to identify cost optimization opportunities and operational efficiencies

Strong attention to detail with a structured approach to financial planning and reporting

Education Qualification

Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA in Finance from a reputed institution

Key Responsibilities

Business Partnering

Act as the finance partner for key business functions including Sales, Marketing, and Product/R&D

Build strong relationships with functional leaders and provide clear financial insights to support decision-making

Align business activities with financial goals and overall company strategy

Budgeting & Forecasting

Partner with business teams to prepare annual budgets and rolling forecasts

Monitor actual performance against budgets and ensure accountability across teams

Provide insights on variances and recommend corrective actions

Expense & Procurement Oversight

Oversee PR/PO approval processes to ensure compliance with budgets and internal policies

Track vendor spend and evaluate opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements

Performance Analysis & Reporting

Conduct detailed analysis of functional performance against budgets and benchmarks

Develop and present monthly reporting packs for Sales, Marketing, and Product teams

Identify areas of overspend, underutilization, or operational inefficiencies

Decision Support & ROI Analysis

Build business cases and financial models for new initiatives, marketing campaigns, and product investments

Provide recommendations to leadership to optimize capital allocation and investment decisions

Process Development

Establish scalable business finance processes and frameworks across business functions

Standardize reporting methodologies to improve financial transparency and accountability

Team Leadership

Lead and mentor 1–2 analysts aligned with business functions (Sales/Marketing and Product/Procurement)

Build a culture of proactive financial analysis and strong stakeholder partnership

Operational Excellence & Controls

Strengthen financial systems, processes, and reporting frameworks as the company scales

Ensure adherence to internal controls and financial governance practices

Provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency and financial discipline
