Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Manager – Finance (Controllership) to strengthen our controllership function by ensuring accurate books, timely financial closures, robust controls, and statutory and regulatory compliance.

The role will work closely with the Senior Manager – Controllership to drive process improvements, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Books Closure & Financial Reporting

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closures.
• Prepare and review P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements as per Ind AS.
• Ensure timely MIS reporting and variance analysis.

2. Accounting & Internal Controls

• Review general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliations, including GRN, vendor, bank, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Strengthen internal financial controls (IFC) and ensure adherence to SOPs.
• Drive automation and process standardisation across accounting operations.

3. Statutory Compliance & Audits

• Coordinate statutory, internal, and tax audits and ensure timely closure of audit queries.
• Work closely with the Tax team on GST and TDS to ensure accurate accounting entries and reconciliations.
• Liaise with auditors, consultants, and regulatory authorities as required.

4. Team & Stakeholder Management

• Supervise and mentor a team of 2 accountants/executives.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Supply Chain, HR, and FP&A teams.
• Support the Senior Manager – Controllership with reporting and management presentations.

Requirements

• CA mandatory.
• 2–3 years of post-qualification experience in controllership or accounting.
• Experience in industry or Big 4/audit firms will be considered.
• Strong knowledge of Ind AS, accounting controls, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Advanced Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, ownership, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective stakeholder management and communication skills.
