The Finance and Accounts Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining fiscal records. This role involves managing accounts payable and receivable, performing month-end close activities, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage Financial Operations: Oversee daily transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and payroll.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring timely reconciliation and reporting.
- Budget Management: Assist in developing and monitoring budgets for various departments and projects.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial operations comply with GAAP and relevant laws and regulations.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash and investment balances and perform cash flow forecasting.
- Audit Preparation: Assist with year-end close activities and external audit requirements.
- Process Improvement: Implement and train staff on financial software to streamline operations.
- Capitalisation of intangible assets: Closely involved in capitalisation of intangible assets by coordinating with Information technology team.
- Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register : Monitoring and maintenance of fixed asset register and handling the various audits with respect to Fixed Asset Register.
- Communication: Serve as the primary contact for internal staff on financial matters.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A Master's degree or CA Inter (Final discontinued).
- Experience: 5-10 years of experience in financial management and accounting. Supervisory experience is beneficial.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, especially Excel. Knowledge of accounting principles and financial management software (e.g., Sage Intacct).
