Job Title: Manager – Finance & Accounts

About the Role

We are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant to join our Finance team. The primary focus of this role is responsibility covering technical accounting functions. The incumbent will ensure timely, accurate compliance with all applicable regulatory frameworks while also supporting the broader finance function.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)

  • Preparation of standalone and consolidated financial statements in accordance with Ind AS and applicable accounting standards for Housing Finance Companies (HFCs)
  • Managing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities including journal entries, provisioning, accruals, and account reconciliations
  • Ensuring correct and consistent accounting treatment for all transactions — including loan disbursements, interest income recognition, ECL provisioning, and borrowing costs — in line with Ind AS 109, Ind AS 32, and other relevant standards
  • Preparation of accounting schedules, notes to accounts, and disclosures required for financial statements
  • Liaising with statutory auditors and providing workings, schedules, and clarifications during audits
  • Supporting internal audit and concurrent audit processes by maintaining proper books of accounts and documentation
  • Tracking and implementing changes in accounting standards (Ind AS updates) and assessing their impact on the company's financials
  • Assisting in preparation of Board and Audit Committee presentations on financial results
  • Maintaining fixed asset register, depreciation schedules, and lease accounting under Ind AS 116

Desired Skills & Competencies

  • Strong technical knowledge of Ind AS, particularly Ind AS 109 (Financial Instruments), Ind AS 116 (Leases), and Ind AS 32
  • Understanding of ECL (Expected Credit Loss) methodology as applicable to HFCs/NBFCs
  • Familiarity with NHB/RBI prudential norms and their intersection with financial reporting
  • Proficiency in MS Excel; working knowledge of accounting/ERP software (SAP)
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to work under tight reporting deadlines
  • Good communication skills for cross-functional coordination and audit interactions
