We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Manager Accounting & Financial Management to lead our accounting operations, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and drive continuous process improvement. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of Ind-AS and statutory compliance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities1. Accounting & Financial Management- Supervise day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, journal entries, reconciliations, and expense management.
- Review and approve accounting entries prepared by junior accountants; ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Oversee timely closure of monthly, quarterly, and annual books of accounts.
- Prepare and review financial statements and schedules in line with Ind-AS and IRDAI requirements.
- Ensure accurate provisioning, accruals, and cost-center allocations across departments.
- Review MIS reports, expense analytics, and financial summaries for management reporting.
- Manage banking operations, fund flow, and vendor payments efficiently.
2. Audit Management- Lead coordination with statutory, internal, and tax auditors to ensure timely completion of all audits.
- Review audit schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation prepared by team members.
- Ensure implementation and follow-up of internal audit recommendations across departments.
- Maintain compliance with IRDAI audit requirements and ensure accuracy of all financial disclosures.
3. Taxation & Statutory Compliance- Oversee all TDS, GST, PF, PT, ESIC, and other statutory filings in collaboration with the tax executive.
- Review and approve TDS/GST computations, returns, and reconciliations.
- Liaise with external consultants and tax authorities for assessments and queries.
- Ensure maintenance of all statutory registers, compliance records, and documentation.
4. Team Leadership & Process Improvement- Supervise and mentor a team of junior accountants and compliance executives.
- Allocate responsibilities, review outputs, and provide ongoing training to enhance team efficiency and accuracy.
- Drive accounting process automation, strengthen internal controls, and reduce manual dependencies.
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and timely delivery within the finance team.
Qualifications & Skills- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (M.Com preferred).
- 712 years of experience in accounting, taxation, and compliance, preferably in the insurance or financial services sector.
- Strong knowledge of Ind-AS and statutory compliance frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with TDS, GST, PF, PT, ESIC, and related filings.
- Hands-on experience with Tally.
