Job Description

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end debug and repair activities for PCBAs, modules, and final assembly products.
  • Analyze production and field failure defects using systematic troubleshooting methods.
  • Ensure quick identification of root cause for electrical, functional, soldering, and assembly-related issues.
  • Manage repair technicians and debug engineers to achieve quality and output targets.
  • Coordinate with Quality, Production, Process, Test, and Engineering teams for defect closure.
  • Monitor top failure trends from ICT, FCT, AOI, EOL, and customer returns, and drive corrective actions.
  • Ensure repaired products meet automotive quality standards, reliability, and traceability requirements.
  • Drive CAPA, 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and other problem-solving methodologies for repeated failures.
  • Validate repair effectiveness and prevent recurrence through process improvements.
  • Control repair benches, tools, spares, soldering stations, and ESD compliance in repair area.
  • Review rejection, rework, and repair data regularly and publish MIS / KPI reports to management.
  • Support NPI, pilot builds, and engineering trials by resolving initial product and process issues.
  • Ensure compliance with automotive standards, workmanship criteria, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Train and develop team members on fault diagnosis, soldering quality, and repair workmanship.
  • Minimize repair turnaround time, reduce rejection cost, and improve First Pass Yield through continuous improvement.
