About the Team

The Ethics team at Navi champions a culture of integrity, transparency, and accountability. We define key policies like the Code of Conduct and Whistleblower Policy, run training and awareness programs, and ensure fair investigation of ethical concerns. We work closely with HR, Legal, and other teams to uphold the highest standards of ethical behavior across the organization.

About the Role

Thisplays a pivotal role in embedding ethical values into day-to-day operations of the Company. This role spans policy development, training, governance, and investigations, ensuring that ethical expectations are clearly defined, widely understood, and consistently enforced across Navi.

You will be responsible for strengthening Navi's ethics ecosystem end-to-end from designing policies and driving awareness to leading investigations and building strong reporting mechanisms.

What We Expect From You

1. Investigations

  • Lead end-to-end investigations on allegations relating to misconduct, fraud, conflict of interest, data misuse, unethical behaviour, or policy breaches.
  • Conduct evidence-based fact-finding through interviews, system reviews, data analysis, and documentation checks.
  • Prepare investigation reports with clear findings and recommendations in line with the Code of Conduct and applicable policies.
  • Partner with HR, Legal, and Business stakeholders to ensure timely and unbiased resolution and implementing of corrective actions.
  • Uphold confidentiality, fairness, and non-retaliation throughout the investigation process.

2. Policy Development & Implementation:

  • Develop, implement, and enhance the organization's Code of Conduct, ensuring it reflects the organization's core values, regulatory expectations, and evolving business realities.
  • Develop and maintain ethics policiessuch as POSH, Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption, Anti-money laundering etc.

3. Training & Awareness:

  • Design and deliver ethics and compliance training for different employee groups, including function-specific and role-specific modules.
  • Drive organisation-wide ethics awareness campaigns, nudges, and behavioural reinforcement (Speak-Up culture, Anti-Gift reminders, case study-based communications, etc.).
  • Build scalable content including e-learning modules, interactive sessions, and practical scenarios to make ethics simple and relatable.

4. Governance & Reporting:

  • Report regularly to the CEO and Board of Directors on ethics and compliance matters, in line with applicable regulatory standards.;
  • Run a strong and confidential whistleblower mechanism with a focus on timely resolution of concerns.
  • Ensure that avenues are established for whistle blowing and prevent retaliation against whistle blowers.

Must Haves

  • Chartered Accountant or Master's degree in HR, Law, Compliance, Ethics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in HR, Law, Compliance, Ethics, Corporate Governance or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of Indian regulatory frameworks and global compliance and ethics best practices.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex regulations and policies.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and handle sensitive issues with the highest integrity.
