Job Purpose:
This position is responsible to drive sustainability initiatives both within the organization and beyond their boundaries. Also, ensuring the integration of sustainability principles into every aspect of the company's operations, fostering a culture of sustainability and enhancing the organization's reputation as a responsible corporate citizen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability strategy that covers internal operations and external stakeholder engagement.
- Oversee sustainability-related initiatives, projects, and programs within the organization.
- Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including communities, NGOs, government bodies, and industry associations.
- Monitor and report on key sustainability performance metrics and trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability into product development, supply chain and procurement processes.
- Lead sustainability communication efforts, including reporting, disclosures, and stakeholder engagement.
- Ensure compliance with sustainability reporting standards and regulations.
- Identify and assess emerging sustainability risks and opportunities.
- Develop and execute sustainability training and awareness programs for employees.
- Stay updated on global sustainability best practices and industry trends.
Job Requirements:
- Master's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business or a related field. Certification on Sustainability is an added advantage.
- Min of 4 - 7 years extensive experience in sustainability roles
- Strong knowledge of sustainability frameworks, regulations, and best practices
- Problem solving and decision-making skills
- People management and networking skills
- Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks on tight schedules
