Manager- Equalifi Pune Chapter

Role Description: This candidate will oversee the development, management, and growth of Equalifi's presence and programs in the Pune region while being based on-site in Mumbai in a full-time capacity. This role involves planning and executing local events, workshops, and outreach initiatives; coordinating with education partners, finance industry stakeholders, and members to drive engagement and enrollment. The Lead will manage chapter operations, including member communication, scheduling, logistics, and reporting, while ensuring alignment with Equalifi's national and global strategies. The position includes building and nurturing professional networks, representing Equalifi at relevant forums, and gathering feedback to continuously improve chapter activities. The candidate will also collaborate with internal teams to support marketing, content, and program delivery for the Pune Chapter.

Key Responsibilities:

Chapter Setup & Strategy

• Develop and execute a launch strategy for the Pune Chapter, including membership targets, event calendar, and growth roadmap
• Establish the chapter's governance structure, volunteer committees, and operating processes
• Identify and onboard founding members, patrons, and institutional partners

Membership Growth & Engagement

• Recruit and retain members across financial services, alternative investments, family offices, and allied professions
• Build and nurture a vibrant, active member community through regular communication and touchpoints
• Serve as the primary point of contact for member queries, feedback, and requests

Events & Programming

• Plan and execute a full calendar of events — networking evenings, panel discussions, workshops, roundtables, and flagship annual events
• Secure speakers, sponsors, and venues; manage logistics end to end
• Represent Equalifi at industry conferences and external forums in and around Pune

Partnerships & Outreach

• Build relationships with regulators, industry bodies, educational institutions, and corporates
• Identify sponsorship and collaboration opportunities to fund and grow chapter activities
• Coordinate with the national team and other chapters to align on strategy and share best practices

Operations & Reporting

• Manage the chapter budget, invoicing, and financial reporting
• Track KPIs (membership, event attendance, revenue, satisfaction) and report to the national leadership
• Maintain CRM records, mailing lists, and chapter documentation

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field
• 2-5 years of experience in financial services, asset management, consulting, events, or membership organizations
• Established professional network in Pune's finance and business community
• Proven track record of independently managing projects, events, or business units
• Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
• Entrepreneurial mindset — comfortable working autonomously with minimal supervision
• Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and social media platforms
