About The Role

We are looking for a seasoned professional to manage Engineering and Maintenance across Godrej One premises as well as work related to Promoters Residences. Based out of our Head Office in Mumbai, this role is to manage and oversee engineering operations, maintenance activities, utilities management, trouble shooting and optimisation of all MEP systems across our facilities, establishing operating and sustaining an operational infrastructure that is efficient, safe, compliant, and always future-ready.

This role demands a combination of strong operational leadership, technical expertise, problem solver, and the ability to lead teams in a dynamic and high-performance environment ensuring risk mitigation, statutory compliance and business continuity framework. You will also be responsible for driving innovation, sustainability, and digitisation across facility operations, vendor partnerships, safety protocols, reporting to Lead - Facility Management while collaborating closely with other senior leadership across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership
  • Define and implement long-term facilities management strategy
  • Lead short term and long-term operational planning, budgeting, CAPEX and infrastructure alignment
  • Drive change initiatives, transformation programmes, and special projects
  • Maintenance & Engineering
  • Ensure high performance of Engineering & Maintenance systems
  • Oversee day to day operations of HVAC, DG Sets, transformers, UPS, Electrical panels, STP/WTP, Elevators, Escalator, Building infrastructure as well as BMS/automation systems
  • Ensure smooth operations and maintenance of all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) systems.
  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
  • Monitor energy consumption and Implement energy saving Initiatives
  • Track downtime, complaint resolution, benchmark performance against global best practices
  • Oversee property utilisation, space optimisation, and lease coordination
  • Implement automation, IoT, and predictive maintenance solutions
  • Drive value creation in CAM management in collaboration with Estate Finance
  • Liaise as and when needed with statutory bodies (BMC, MMRDA, MPCB) for approvals and inspections
  • Projects and Renovation Support
  • Support execution of fit outs, refurbishment, renovation and Infrastructure upgrade of projects
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, consultants and contractors during project execution
  • Monitor project timelines, quality standards and technical specifications
  • Administration
  • Manage workplace amenities
  • Drive employee experience with a service-oriented approach
  • Vendor & Contract Management
  • Manage vendor, contractors and AMC service providers
  • Monitor vendor performance, adherence to SLAs, and statutory compliance.
  • Negotiate SLAs and establish sustainable partnerships
  • Validate technical quotations, work completion, Invoices and service reports
  • Ensure procurement and contract compliance in coordination with the Procurement team
  • Technology & Process Excellence
  • Leverage digital tools for real-time monitoring, automation and MIS reporting
  • Recommend design, infrastructure upgrades for energy and cost efficiency
  • People Leadership
  • Lead and manage teams
  • Implement learning, development, and succession plans
  • Foster a values-driven high-performance and engaged culture
  • Provide technical guidance and capability development to team members.
  • Coordinate cross-functional support during emergencies and operational issues.
  • Compliance & Governance
  • Ensure 100% compliance with statutory, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Align with audit requirements and internal governance policies
  • Lead risk documentation, escalation and reporting protocols

Who are we looking for

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering

Experience

  • 10-12 years experience in Facility Management, Engineering Operations, Hotel Engineering Operations
  • Minimum 3-5 years in Department Head role as well as hands on experience In MEP operations or FM

Skills

  • Strategic and analytical thinking
  • Strong Operational and technical understanding of infrastructure and services
  • Strong commercial acumen and vendor negotiation capability
