Job description
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead maintenance activities for the press shop with machines ranging from 100T to 2000T.
- Diagnose and resolve issues in imported machines, identifying root causes effectively.
- Troubleshoot and maintain servo drives, servo motors, safety controllers, HMIs, and machine panels including their components.
- Interpret and work with electrical drawings with in-depth technical understanding.
- Utilize quality and problem-solving tools such as:
- Why-Why Analysis
- Pareto Analysis
- PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act)
- Other standard quality management tools
Technical Expertise:
- PLC Troubleshooting & Programming:
- Siemens S7200, S7300, S71200/1500
- GE Fanuc PLC & SCADA systems
- Familiarity with function blocks, ladder logic, PID blocks
- Maintenance and troubleshooting of:
- Blowers, electric drives (including VFDs and servo drives)
- CNC machines, SPMs, ovens, kilns
- Power control panels, motor control centers, modern electrical drives
- Ensure effective root cause analysis for permanent resolution of breakdowns.
Compliance & Standards:
- Ensure compliance with:
- Electrical Inspector / CEIG regulations
- Saint-Gobain Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) standards
- World Class Manufacturing (WCM) standards
- Knowledge and compliance with:
- Lockout-Tagout (LOTO)
- SMAT (Safety Management Audit Tool)
- Work Permit Systems
Maintenance & Continuous Improvement:
- Awareness and tracking of maintenance KPIs:
- MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures)
- MTTR (Mean Time to Repair)
- OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)
- Availability and loss time metrics
- Implement and manage maintenance strategies:
- TBM (Time-Based Maintenance)
- CBM (Condition-Based Maintenance)
- Predictive and preventive maintenance
- Lead WCM activities and drive improvements through WCM projects.
- Manage spare parts and inventory effectively within budget constraints.
Leadership & Team Management:
- Provide leadership to a team of engineers, technicians, and contractors.
- Minimum 10 - 15 years of experience in a supervisory/leadership capacity.
