Your Role
You will play an important role in leading the site EHS, sustainability, and security requirements at the Peenya site. Acting as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for global and APAC requirements from an EHS, sustainability, and security perspective, you will focus on better implementation and management of activities in these areas.
Who You Are
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from a reputed engineering college.
- Certified Safety Professional (minimum of Post Diploma in Industrial Safety).
- Approximately 15 years of experience, with at least 5 to 6 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in reputed pharmaceutical or engineering industries, preferably good MNCs.
- Managed a team size of at least 4 people.
Preferred Requirements
- Support the implementation of the organization's EHS strategy and goals at the site.
- Ensure compliance with EHS regulations and corporate EHS policies, standards, and procedures.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable national and international EHS regulations, protecting the site, employees, assets, and reputation against internal and external EHS risks.
- Submit compliance tasks using the Hawkeye tool.
- Conduct emergency mock drills and EHS committee meetings at regular intervals.
- Schedule and ensure that departments conduct Be Safe walkabouts.
- Provide technical expertise and support on all EHS-related issues within the facility.
- Prepare EHS statements for investments.
- Oversee the operation of the CETP (Common Effluent Treatment Plant).
- Ensure adequate EHS training is provided to employees according to their respective job profiles.
- Induct all new joiners regarding the organization's safety and environmental policies and methods of working according to these policies and systems.
- Act and implement responsibilities as a site security officer.
- Prepare EHS KPI reports.
- Drive continuous improvement in EHS through the implementation and review of EHS programs (e.g., ISO 14001 and 45001 Group Certifications, Business Continuity Management, Process Safety Indicators, Safety Culture, EHS Operational Excellence, Global Employee Health, and the organization's Sustainability Targets and Programs).
