Harman Finochem is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager / Deputy Manager - Projects to lead our project initiatives at our API manufacturing facility in Shendra, Aurangabad. This pivotal role involves overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from detailed engineering and facility modifications to timely execution, cost reduction, and adherence to cGMP and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership & Management: Lead the project team to ensure the smooth functioning and successful delivery of projects.
- Prepare and manage project schedules, coordinating effectively with cross-functional teams for timely execution.
- Engineering Oversight: Supervise detailed engineering activities, including mass balance, energy balance, line sizing, equipment design, process datasheets, and control and operation philosophies.
- Oversee Bill of Materials (BOM) and layout designs.
- Review technical documents such as P&ID/PFD, layouts, and data sheets for both existing and new projects.
- Facility & Technology Management: Drive facility creation or modification projects aimed at process simplification.
- Conduct technical assessments of new technologies or projects to evaluate feasibility and impact.
- Quality & Compliance: Review qualification documents for newly installed equipment and systems.
- Orient the Engineering Team towards updated knowledge of CGM (current Good Manufacturing Practices) and Regulatory Norms.
- Review project-related documents like Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure adherence to company safety and environmental policies, maintaining safe working conditions for personnel and materials during project implementation.
- Process Optimization & Cost Reduction: Target and implement cost reduction initiatives and energy conservation methods through process improvement.
- Execute process optimization activities, such as yield improvement, solvent recovery optimization, and batch cycle time reduction, in coordination with cross-functional teams.
- Procurement & Follow-up: Manage material indents and follow up with the head office to ensure timely procurement.
- Training & Development: Train subordinates on new technologies, cGMP, and qualification processes.
- Project Closure: Ensure proper closure of plant modifications upon completion of work.
Required Skills & Experience
- Educational Background: Diploma in Chemical Engineering / B.E. (Chemical) or M.Sc. / B.Sc. (Chemistry / Organic Chemistry) is preferred.
- Project Management: Proven experience in leading and managing projects, particularly in an API manufacturing environment.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding and experience in detailed engineering aspects, including mass balance, energy balance, and equipment design.
- Process Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of API manufacturing processes and simplification techniques.
- Compliance: Familiarity with cGMP and regulatory norms, with experience in reviewing qualification documents.
- Optimization: Demonstrated ability to drive cost reduction, energy conservation, and process optimization initiatives.
