Key Responsibilities

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Develop and manage strong customer relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term engagement.
  • Drive freight sales for Domestic Container Train Operations (CTO).
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales opportunities and commercial engagements.
  • Lead pricing discussions and contract negotiations with customers, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, customer preferences, and market opportunities, and translate insights into effective sales and marketing strategies.
  • Develop and manage budgets for container sales and related marketing activities.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of sales initiatives and associated resources to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with operations, finance, and other internal departments to ensure seamless execution and alignment with overall business goals.
  • Propose innovative and cost-effective first-mile and last-mile logistics solutions within the CTO business.
  • Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of all commercial records and agreements.

Experience

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in the Domestic CTO industry, preferably within commercial or operations functions.
  • Strong understanding of the domestic CTO regulatory framework.
  • Working knowledge of railway freight policies such as GPWIS, SFTO, and GCT.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience in contract finalization, particularly in transportation, handling, and storage agreements.
  • Prior experience in managing Domestic Rail Movements is mandatory.
