About the Role
A seasoned Manager Payroll (Domestic) to oversee end-to-end payroll operations in the aviation sector. This role involves managing a team, coordinating with payroll outsourcing partners, ensuring statutory compliance, and supporting audits. Prior experience in aviation or large-scale service industries is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Payroll Management
- End-to-End Payroll Management (input consolidation, processing, disbursement and accounting): Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for 25,000+ employees, including flight crew, ground staff, and corporate teams. Maintain extensive knowledge of the payroll functions and responsible for the payroll processing operations.
- Statutory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with PF, ESI, PT, TDS, and other applicable labor laws and aviation-specific regulations. Strong knowledge of Income Tax (Declaration, Proof, Regime, Form-16, 24Q and 26Q).
- Payroll Vendor Coordination (Payroll, Compliance & BRE): Collaborate with payroll outsourcing partners to maintain service quality, on-time salary processing, disbursement and resolve discrepancies.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of payroll professionals, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
- Audit Support: Liaise with internal, external, and statutory auditors, ensuring timely and accurate data submission.
- Reporting & Analytics: Deliver payroll MIS, cost breakdowns, and function-wise reports to support strategic decision-making. Assist Payroll & Benefits Lead in the month end close process including preparation of accruals, reconciliations, and analytics.
- Business Expense Management (CTC and Non CTC): Oversee business expense reimbursements - CTC and Non-CTC, (e.g., travel, allowances, crew-related expenses). Ensure accurate accounting, policy compliance, and timely disbursement.
- Year End Activities / FBP Management: Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.
Qualifications
- Minimum Education requirements: Bachelors/BBA/BMS/diploma in Personnel/Human Resource Management
Required Skills
- 10-12 years of experience in data management, analysis in HR; managing initiatives and programs pertaining to Payroll Management
- 5-6 years of experience in HR analytics, data management with focus on Payroll Management
- Experience in the aviation sector is an added advantage
- SAP-HR (payroll) knowledge
