Job Purpose: Lead - Cargo Training and Audit is responsible for managing and overseeing the training programs and audit processes related to the handling of dangerous goods within the organization's cargo operations. This role ensures that all personnel are adequately trained, and all procedures are compliant with national and international regulations, thereby contributing to the safety, efficiency, and compliance of the cargo handling processes.
Responsibilities
Training Program Development and Management:
Develop comprehensive training curriculum for the safe handling of dangerous goods, tailored to meet the specific needs of the organization.
Monitor the delivery of training programs, ensuring that all personnel are proficient in the latest safety practices and regulatory requirements.
Conduct Dangerous Goods Training
Monitor training sessions to cargo staff, ground handling agents, and other relevant personnel on the safe handling of dangerous goods.
Design specialized training for various roles, such as loaders, ramp handlers, and cargo supervisors, tailored to their specific responsibilities.
Stakeholder Management
Foster collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to align training and safety initiatives with organizational goals and stakeholder expectations.
Maintain a communication strategy to keep stakeholders informed about changes in regulations, training outcomes, and audit findings, ensuring transparency and trust.
Technology Integration
Implement e-learning platforms and simulation-based training to enhance learning experiences and improve retention of safety protocols for dangerous goods handling.
Utilize compliance management software to automate the tracking of regulatory changes and streamline the internal and external audit processes.
Regulatory Compliance
Stay updated with the latest regulations regarding dangerous goods and ensure that all operations are in compliance.
Develop strategies to maintain continuous compliance with changing regulations.
Process Improvement
Continuously seek and implement best practices for the training and audit of dangerous goods handling.
Benchmark the organization's practices against industry standards to ensure a leading position in cargo safety and compliance.

Qualifications
Educational Qualifications:
Postgraduate degree in Management, Engineering, or a related field that provides a strong foundation for understanding complex cargo operations.
Work Experience
10+ years of experience in the air cargo business of an airport or airline, with a significant portion of that time spent in roles related to safety, training, or compliance
Certifications Required
DGR by DGCA/ ICAO/ IATA (Every 2 years)
Professional Skills for DGR Instructors by DGCA/ IATA
