Job Description
Role: DevOps Manager (Product Engineering)
Work Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu
Role Overview
Own the cloud platform behind India's largest wed-tech company: 10+ consumer products, millions of users, one platform team.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and provision complex infrastructure for 10+ product teams.
- Terraform + Ansible for everything, no ClickOps- CI/CD with canary and blue/green releases and one-click rollback.
- Run AWS plus a second cloud; own SLOs, on-call and observability- Own the cloud bill and run at the lowest cost possible.
- Provision GPU infra for self-hosted AI models - Lead and grow a team of DevOps Leads and Engineers
Skills & Competencies
- Expert in AWS (Well-Architected Framework) + GCP or Azure.
- Expert in CI/CD, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes/ECS .
- Expert in Shell, Python, Groovy- Proven cost savings you can show in numbers
- Uses AI coding tools daily .
- Desirable : platform engineering (IDP), GitOps, DevSecOps, OpenTelemetry, FinOps.
Education and Experience
- Engineering Graduate in any discipline.
- 10-15 yrs of total experience in Platform engineering in leading a team at least for last 4 yrs.
- Experience in sectors like FinOps will be highly preferred.
